“Our smart water solutions provide intelligent measurement, reliable communications, actionable data and customer engagement. These elements are vital for utilities to capture revenue, mitigate risk, improve customer satisfaction, enhance sustainability and optimize assets throughout the water cycle,” said Ken Bockhorst, Chairman, President and CEO at Badger Meter.
Badger Meter recently acquired Analytical Technology, Inc. (ATi) and s::can GmbH, leaders in intelligent measurement and smart water quality monitoring. Badger Meter will exhibit in booth #13079 at ACE22, highlighting ATi and s::can solutions for reagent-free distribution monitoring and products that address analytical needs throughout the water cycle.
“Our product portfolio includes low-maintenance, low-power and reagent-free monitoring for online, inline and real-time analysis in locations that were not previously possible,” said Matt Stuyvenberg, Vice President of Water Quality at Badger Meter. “These water quality monitoring solutions increase water protection and security, prevent risk to human health and the environment, comply with drinking water regulations and optimize resource utilization to eliminate laborious sampling requirements.”
Badger Meter also offers ultrasonic flow meters for residential and commercial applications. E-Series G2® Ultrasonic flow meters deliver long-term sustained accuracy and extended low-flow accuracy. These meters provide information such as rate of flow, reverse flow, and status and alarm indication—plus data not typically available through mechanical meters and registers, such as temperature and water pressure data.
Another ultrasonic meter, the E-Series® Ultrasonic Plus, is one of the industry’s only meters to incorporate an integrated flow restriction valve, which utility personnel can actuate remotely to temporarily restrict water service safely and efficiently.
Cellular technology has opened the door to new opportunities for water utilities to take advantage of existing cellular networks that are both secure and resilient—with no utility-owned gateway infrastructure required.
For maximum flexibility and streamlined deployment, ORION® Cellular endpoints deliver two-way communication of 15-minute interval meter reading data with BEACON® Software as a Service (SaaS), individually suited to the needs of the utility.
As utilities migrate to cellular AMI, many are opting for Network as a Service (NaaS) solutions, which eliminate the need for utilities to fund and manage network infrastructure.
“A cellular NaaS solution can offer utilities unmatched reliability and uptime of 99.999%. These solutions are up and running as soon as cellular endpoints are installed, so utilities almost immediately can benefit from improved meter reading processes, customer service operations and citywide resilience and emergency preparedness,” said Kim Stoll, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Badger Meter.
BEACON provides utility management with greater visibility, control and optimized information to enhance customer service processes and minimize non-revenue water.
“SaaS is changing the way utilities collect, communicate, store and leverage data to optimize operations. BEACON improves each user’s ability to make informed decisions to resolve operational and customer service issues,” said Travis Smith, Senior Director of Strategic Marketing at Badger Meter.
Attendees can learn more about how BEACON and cellular AMI promote water conservation during “AMI Data: The Essential Component to Conservation” on Monday, June 13, at 2 p.m. (CDT). This presentation from Erica Hermann, Product Manager at Badger Meter, will explain how utilities can use interval data for targeted efforts to meet water reduction goals.
A water utility’s relationship with its customers transcends a monthly or quarterly transaction—it’s a partnership. So, BEACON offers an integrated consumer engagement platform: EyeOnWater®.
EyeOnWater gives customers direct access to their water consumption data through a smartphone and tablet app, which allows them to easily view, understand and manage their water usage. This promotes awareness of usage patterns and leaks, empowering residents to actively engage in water conservation and leak prevention. Utilities can also benefit from a reduction in customer calls, improved resolution time and fewer requests for high bill adjustments.
During ACE22, see Badger Meter solutions for intelligent measurement, reliable communication, actionable data and customer engagement at booth #13079. Badger Meter builds smart water solutions that are tailored for any water utility, no matter its size or location.
