Introduction

A leading company for the mining and infrastructure industries in Sweden and manufacturer of concrete spraying machines relies on Badger Meter's accurate flow measurement.
These machines have been engineered to secure the underground work environment from loose and falling debris. Contractors must operate under tremendous pressure, expect the finest quality in applied concrete and need reliable concrete sprayer equipment to ensure the safety of their workforce.

Challenge

Liquid accelerators are added to the sprayed concrete to ensure the correct consistency when it hits the wall/ceiling. If the concrete is already too hard, it will bounce off the wall/ceiling without adhering, if it is still too soft, it will flow or drip from the wall/ceiling.
A batching system with integrated flow meter ensures the correct mixture. The system must work reliably, accurately and with a long service life, even under very harsh operating conditions.

Solution

In the machine, a ModMAG^® M1000 electromagnetic flow meter is used, which is tailored exactly to the customer's requirements. Special pipe fittings are used and customer-specific cable connections are mounted to ensure quick and easy installation in the machine.
