In the water cycle, reclaim and reuse refers to the process of capturing, treating and repurposing water that has already been used. Instead of allowing this water to be discharged as waste, it is reclaimed through treatment processes to remove contaminants and impurities, making it suitable for reintroduction into the water cycle. Reuse applications include industrial processes, or non-potable uses like toilet flushing or irrigation. By integrating water reclaim and reuse practices, we can effectively conserve freshwater resources and reduce the strain on natural water sources.
